BestHear’s Pontyclun clinic is a satellite practice for patients across the Cardiff catchment — Talbot Green, Llantrisant, Pontypridd, Caerphilly, the wider Vale of Glamorgan, and Rhondda Cynon Taff. It runs two Saturdays per month, by appointment only.
The clinic is supply-constrained on purpose. We don’t operate Pontyclun as a five-day high-street practice. We use it for selected Heareka™ hearing aid fittings, follow-ups, microsuction earwax removal, and hearing assessments where the appointment fits the day. The result is a calmer clinical day, longer chair time per patient, and the same clinical standard as our Swansea practice.
Patients who want a faster appointment, or services we don’t run on Pontyclun days (paediatric, tinnitus consultations, multi-day adjustments), are seen at our main clinic in Swansea. What we run at the Pontyclun clinic
Heareka™ hearing aid fittings. Selected first-time fittings and demos for Cardiff-catchment patients who want the BestHear Heareka method without travelling to Swansea. The fitting itself lands in one appointment.
Hearing aid follow-ups and adjustments. Existing Heareka patients living closer to Pontyclun than Swansea can be seen here for their aftercare appointments.
Microsuction earwax removal (£60). The same clinical microsuction service we run in Swansea, on Pontyclun days. Adult only at this location; paediatric microsuction is Swansea-only.
Adult hearing assessments (£150). A full diagnostic hearing test where the appointment slot allows. Patients needing same-day or specialist tests are routed to Swansea.
What we don’t run at Pontyclun: paediatric services, tinnitus consultations, complex multi-visit fittings. These are seen in Swansea where the calendar supports them.

Free on-site parking. The Health Hut has dedicated parking on Talbot Road — easier than most Cardiff city-centre alternatives.
